A Finally Finished Book! Hurray!

After a veeerrrry looong time, Stoyan and my brother Charles, finally finished their book! When Charles wrote the book and decided to have Stoyan illustrate it for him, I'm sure he didn't expect it to take two years, but you just can't rush an artist, or at least an artist that is busy doing everything but art.  I'm so happy they stuck it out and finished.  I'm also glad my brother didn't give up on Stoyan, because honestly, he probably could have found someone else with more time and experience to illustrate it for him and been done long before now.

So, without further ado, here's a link to purchase this masterpiece, The Three Little Pigs Build in America.  I think you will laugh, or possibly cry, (not to ruin the story, but there are a few deaths in the book) and if you don't do either...well, I'll keep my opinions to myself.

I do realize that some people may not have the money to spend on our little book, so if you want to look at a few of the illustrations without purchasing it, you may do so here, given of course you look at a few of the other photos and commission him to do something for you...oh, if you haven't got money for a book, I guess you probably don't want to commission him to do a painting, model, or illustration for you...hmmm, you can just look and you don't have to spend anything.

And finally, if you are shopping on Amazon.com and you need to buy just one more thing to top the "FREE Super Saver Shipping" amount of $25, you can always toss this book into your cart for a mere $5.99 and you are on your way. :)

So, I just wanted to let all of that out, and I hope you enjoy.  Thanks for looking!

Remember when blogging was so new and cool and everyone was doing it? Remember when I used to post something pretty regularly?  Yeah, I remember that too.  :) So, why don't I still post regularly? Hmmm... I think it must be because of jealousy.  I'm jealous of all those people that post about their totally amazing lives and do it in such an entertaining manner that you just want to read all of their posts and, well, I can't live up to that kind of competition, so I'm just giving up.  :) The end!

Oh wait, I can't give up just yet, I do have a sort-of responsibility to show my family in Far Far Away what is happening here in The Kingdom of Didd; and, I guess some day in the near future I might want to post something important, (though I can't think what) that might give some person, somewhere, some kind of encouragement, at least some encouragement to not give up on their own blog because it's definitely not the worst it could be.

Okay, hmmm....my totally amazing life... I did do some laundry today, that turned the mountain into two small hills, and the living room floor is visible, oh, oh, I got out of bed early today and didn't even swear when the baby threw up all over my sheets.  This is amazing!! What an awesome life I have! Seriously! :) And here are some cute pictures of my family as we played in the beautiful perfect snow weather last weekend.
Well, the snowman isn't my family, but we built him together. The snowman lost his eyes and nose within an hour of sitting in the sun. That is my kind of snow day, warm enough to melt a snowman!

Yay! Diliana let me put a hat on her head without ripping it off right away! I guess she knew we were going outside and she needed to have warm ears. The hats the girls are wearing were made for them by an older gentleman in our neighborhood whom we have come to be good friends with.
We had so much fun playing "Fox and Geese" and throwing snow at each other.

Daddy and the girls made a snow cave, but they only climbed in long enough to get their picture taken, then it was time for hot chocolate and warm baths. As nice as this day was, the snow was still cold enough to send us indoors before too long.

Wow! I must say I am thankful for days like this one, and for a yard to play in, and for families and fun times, and for snow, and for snow when it melts, and, and, and...lots of other stuff too!
And now, it is THE END of this post.

Happy Days

In a couple ways this past month has been just like Christmas.  We received a totally awesome surprise package in the mail with these super cute dresses and other cute clothes and goodies inside.  The girls were so excited when we opened the box and found the clothes.  They had to try them all on and dance around the living room. Then, the week after that, Uncle Samuil came to visit before he went back home to Bulgaria and he brought presents too. The Rapunzel doll in Victoria's hand is "exactly what she wanted!" Leah and Diliana were also pretty happy about their gifts, and Samuil became the instant "favorite Bulgarian" around here. Sorry Dad, you didn't bring home Rapunzel...better luck next time. One of the days that Samuil was here we went to Rockport Reservoir to go fishing. We all had a lot of fun, even though we all got a little too much sun.
Leah and Victoria both tried their hands at fishing and Victoria actually caught two fish, but one got away just before she landed it. Here she is with her little Bass that she keeps calling a "bus fish". We also spent some time building a sand castle with a bucket some poor unfortunate kid left behind. I hope he/she didn't go back to look for it, cause we brought it home with us, along with a whole lot of sand in the pants.

Thanks for the fun times Deana and Samuil!
